On October 18th, the most outstanding companies and entrepreneurs of 2023 in Tartu and Tartu County were recognised at the Estonian National Museum. Tartu has been recognising its best entrepreneurs for a quarter of a century, this year they decided to give away a special prize – the Best Entrepreneur of 25 Years – to A. Le Coq.
For a quarter of a century, A. Le Coq has won a total of 14 Tartu Entrepreneurship Awards.
“A. Le Coq has been repeatedly recognised in the categories of most job-creating company, largest investor, most responsible company and most successful large company over the past 25 years. As a consistently strong company, A. Le Coq can be regarded as the most successful company in Tartu in recent decades, and that is why we awarded A. Le Coq with a special prize in our competition’s anniversary year,” said Raimond Tamm, Deputy Mayor of Tartu.
As the oldest and largest beverage producer in Estonia, A. Le Coq has been a trendsetter in business and the food industry for more than two centuries. As a good and efficient taxpayer, the company also supports education through vocational training scholarships and an apprenticeship base, as well as an active lifestyle through top-level and recreational sports. This diversification has ensured company’s continued growth and made A. Le Coq the most successful company in Tartu over the years.
