One of the highlights of Estonia’s sporting year will take place this May and June, when the UEFA European Under-17 Championship final tournament is held. The tournament’s official supporter is the much-loved beverage producer A. Le Coq.

From 25 May to 7 June, the national teams of Estonia, Spain, France, Denmark, Montenegro, Belgium, Croatia, and Italy will compete for the European title in Tallinn and Rakvere. Matches will be hosted at four different stadiums in Estonia: games in Tallinn will be played at A. Le Coq Arena, Kadriorg Stadium, and Kalev Central Stadium, while group matches will also take place at Rakvere City Stadium. The tournament will culminate in the final on 7 June, which will be played at A. Le Coq Arena.

“For the Estonian Football Association and A. Le Coq, this is a landmark year, as we are celebrating 25 years of cooperation that began a quarter of a century ago,” said Mihkel Uiboleht, Secretary General of the Estonian Football Association. “During this time, the number of people playing football in Estonia has increased 2.5 times, we have celebrated memorable victories at A. Le Coq Arena, and experienced unforgettable emotions. It is highly symbolic that A. Le Coq is also supporting the UEFA European Under-17 Championship final tournament, which is a historic event for Estonia as the national team is participating for the first time ever.”

“Youth sport is the foundation of Estonian football and sports culture as a whole, and we are delighted to support an event that brings top-level young players from across Europe to Estonia,” said Katrin Vernik, Marketing Director at A. Le Coq. “We believe the tournament will create positive emotions for the players, our young athletes, and all supporters. Moreover, an international tournament of this scale is a great recognition for Estonia and an excellent opportunity to showcase ourselves as a welcoming football nation.”

The tournament draw will take place on Thursday, 9 April, at A. Le Coq Arena, where the eight participating national teams will learn their opponents. The draw will be hosted by Robin Valting, with participation from tournament ambassador Henri Anier and Marcello Alleca, Head of UEFA Men’s National Team Competitions.
