Peaasi.ee has once again awarded the Mental Health Friendly Workplace Label, recognizing a total of 126 organizations across Estonia. The label highlights employers who value their employees’ mental well-being and take conscious steps to support it. A. Le Coq received the “Blossomer” level of the label — a recognition that signifies a strong and visible culture of supporting mental health in the workplace.

The purpose of the Mental Health Friendly Workplace Label is to acknowledge employers who are already actively investing in their people’s well-being. Another important goal is to encourage organizations to assess their work environment from a mental health perspective and to inspire those who have not yet focused on this area more systematically. Applying for the label also serves as a practical tool — it allows companies to evaluate their current situation honestly and plan next steps to strengthen employee well-being. The label is valid for one year.

A. Le Coq – strong and visible mental health culture

“The recognition from Peaasi is very important to us and encourages us to continue working with mental health topics. We understand that caring for employees’ mental well-being matters because we spend most of our waking hours at work. By understanding the factors that influence employees’ mental health and well-being, we can address them and make improvements where needed so that everyone feels supported,” said Katrin Lember, Director of People and Sustainability at A. Le Coq.

The company’s strengths include actively raising mental health awareness, offering employee training, conducting regular 1:1 conversations, and holding Gallup 12–based discussions in production units. Psychological safety is also an important focus — creating an environment where employees feel safe to express themselves and ask for help.

Additionally, a psychosocial risk assessment revealed that employees highly value the unity and supportive atmosphere within the team. A. Le Coq offers a rich value proposition — providing support both in exceptional situations (such as bereavement and childbirth allowances) and in everyday well-being (health benefits, dental care, and wellness solutions through Stebby).

A workplace that values mental health builds a strong and sustainable foundation for both employees and the organization. Research shows that every euro invested in mental health support can bring a return of up to nine euros through increased productivity and fewer sick days.
