Beverage producer A. Le Coq has significantly expanded its product portfolio. As of March, the company has become the distributor of beers from the highly regarded Latvian craft brewery Valmiermuiža in Estonia. The addition of a new beer brand to A. Le Coq’s range will make Valmiermuiža beers more widely available to consumers across a greater number of retail outlets.
A. Le Coq’s parent company, Olvi Oyj, has expanded its presence in the Baltics, and as of January this year, the Valmiermuiža brewery has become part of the Olvi Group. Founded in 2009, Valmiermuiža brewery is located near Valmiera and is known for its high-quality beers that value traditional brewing methods and local ingredients. Valmiermuiža is a highly respected brand in both Latvia and Estonia, offering a selection that includes classic lager and ale-style beers as well as seasonal and craft series brews.
“The addition of Valmiermuiža beers to A. Le Coq’s portfolio allows us to expand our range of imported beers and offer consumers something truly special – beers with rich flavour and strong character that are highly appreciated by beer enthusiasts. Valmiermuiža products are brewed in small batches using traditional brewing methods. By expanding our selection, we can be an even more versatile partner for our customers and offer consumers interesting and high-quality taste experiences,” said Jaanus Vihand, Managing Director of A. Le Coq.
According to Vihand, A. Le Coq will offer Valmiermuiža products both in retail and as draught beer to restaurants, bars and hotels: “Our aim is to make Valmiermuiža beers more accessible to consumers and to bring the highly regarded and authentic taste experience of our neighbouring country to beer lovers all across Estonia.”
