The full-bodied flavour of Alexander Suur is clearly dominated by the bitter crispness of dark hops and it is balanced out by the stronger than average caramel flavour of the malt. Fresh hops linger in the finish of this light yellow beer with its dense bubbles. The more prominent bottle also contains a little more of Alexander the Great – there’s that extra sip that separates half a litre from a pint.
